.the secret garden.

from time to time i get the itch for a little personal project….you know, something that just is a bit out of my usual.  something that’s inspiring.  soothing.  and generally beautiful.  here’s a sample of what i’ve been doing in all my free time (insert a little sarcasm).  🙂

in downtown san luis obispo, there’s a quite little alley with a magical little shop called The Secret Garden–an organic herb shop.

it’s filled with serene clusters of herbs and succulents, exotic (at least i think they’re exotic!) herbs that you may have never even heard of, and fragrant custom blends of teas, chais and spices.

i’m going to empty out my cupboard of stale old spices and fill it with real cumin, thyme and cinnamon.  oh, and a few tea blends for my little monkeys, too!

if you’re downtown, you’ve got to peak into the Secret Garden…the address is 1129 (patio) Garden Street.

.hopskotch mini sessions-take 1.

i’m just dying to showcase the gorgeous wedding i shot last week…but had to take a moment to say:  the hopskotch mini session, round 1, was over-the-top amazing!  about 18-20 of the MOST adorable little came (ON TIME!) to play with me and my camera yesterday.  it was heaven!  and just as many kiddos are on a waiting list, so we’ll be announcing the second and final mini sessions for the 08 within the next couple of weeks.  here’s just one from the day…

.the friendly skies.

yes, it’s true.  i got to climb aboard this GORGEOUS machine and photograph it for an evening.  quite the change of pace!   but then again, between babies, weddings, senior portraits, architecture and other various commercial projects it’s really not THAT far out that i’d do an aircraft.  i think i might just could get used to the luxury of such a plane.  🙂
